YOUR JOB OPPORTUNITY
Working in combination with our Project Manager, the Site Superintendent, will provide essential support to our projects, and our construction team. You will have overall site management responsibilities that will see you support our sub trades and consultant team, site safety procedures, documentation, and project schedule. Further details are provided below.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Weekly construction updates
- Two-week look ahead schedule
- Schedule updates with Project Manager
- Manage and participate in weekly trade meetings.
- Schedule trades and material ordering
- Organize the site with the assistance of the site labourer.
- Enforce the scopes with the subcontractors.
- Review drawing details
- Act as the central contact person for the trades on site
- Schedule inspections with the engineers and the city
- Enforce the company’s safety policies and procedures (Q uses BuilderTrend and Salus Software)
- Respond to engineer reports.
- Review shop drawings
- Coordinate with the Project Manager any RFIs or SIs that may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Journeyman Carpenter or the equivalent is preferred but not essential.
- Experience in a similar role working directly for a general contractor on multi family townhome developments.
- Experience with estimating software will be considered an asset.
- Experience with Procore, PDF editing in BlueBeam or similar software, advanced Microsoft skills are a bonus.
- Site management experience in wood framed multi family construction
- Strong attention to detail and organization and time management skills.
- Analytical problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Motivated & forward thinking.
- Eager to learn and adapt, especially in the field of innovative technology integration.
COMPENSATION
The company provides an industry level compensation package plus you will be included in the bonus pool. Discussions on your expectations will be completed during the qualification stage.
