Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders, including subcontractors, clients, and project managers.
Duties
- Supervise daily construction activities and manage on-site personnel to ensure adherence to project schedules.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize construction management software such as Procore for project tracking and reporting.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, safety compliance, and overall site conditions.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, including estimating costs for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Facilitate communication between all parties involved in the project to resolve issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating practices and budgeting processes.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., ProCore) and tools such as Bluebeam for document management.
- Excellent blueprint reading skills with the ability to understand complex schematics.
- Demonstrated ability in supervising teams effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control throughout all phases of construction.
